In December 2011, I picked up my Ford Escape Hyrbid Vechicle in Fairfax, VA after an all day trip from NY to VA and back. The trip back home I put on a little over 1,000 miles on the car with a 7 year loan.
This is me after I arrived back home for the first time with the car.
Half way through to loan, I was able to refinance the loan to bring down the number of payments and the overall payment down. That being said, as of today, I have paid off the entire loan of the car and it's gone through zero major repairs or any major damage.
During this time the car has gone through 4 different jobs (Flexible, Global Facility, TRS, FOJP) and 3 different NY counties. Between Flexible and Global alone, I put on close to 70k miles in the 2 year span. At the end of 2014 and for the past 3 years and even though the car lives at my mom's house, it has only gained a little less than 10k miles. So technically for the years 2011-2017 (6 years) it's still in the "new car" category.
Now I own my car. /me does the happy dance
P.S. If you want to be very detailed orentiained, I signed a 7 year loan, but since I was able to get a year free when re-finaincing the car half way through the 7 years, it was really 6 years.
